"HEART
ATTACK®"
is designed to let you
control the length of the game without removing
any of the uncertainty or unpredictability. A list of simple playing
options is included below. These options will let you decide
whether to play about a half an hour or half the night. You can
even set time limits where once a time limit is reached, one or
more of the options is removed from the game. Once all the options
are gone, an ending will be close at hand. An average game, without
removing or adding any game length options, will last somewhere
between one and two hours, if your heart can take it that long.
For a
shorter game, you
may do one or more of the following;
1. Begin the game with a certain
number of cholesterol in each player’s heart.
2. Double the gain values and / or
lose values on all spaces and cards.
3. Remove C.P.R. from game after a
certain time limit.
4. Eliminate C.P.R. for “Code Blue”,
“flatline” patients at start of game.
5. Remove the “Discharged from
Hospital” and “Proceed to Recovery Room” cards.
6. Reduce the number of cholesterol
removed after a successful operation.
For a
longer game, you
may want to do one or more of the following;
1. Reduce the gain values and / or
lose values by half on all spaces and cards.
2. Remove the, “Must enter Hospital
now” and “Proceed to Operating Room” cards.
3. Allow two or more C.P.R. attempts
each time it is needed.
